Privacy policy

QuantumScanner is designed to never collect, store, or transmit your personal data or files.

Folder scanning

When you select a folder or files to analyze, all processing happens locally in your browser via the File System Access API. No file, key, or certificate is ever sent to any server.

Network scanning

When you enter a domain, our server makes a TLS connection to that domain to read its public certificate. We do not log or store the domains you check.

Wallet exposure check

This feature is the exception to everything above, and it is worth reading before you use it: finding out whether a public key is already exposed means asking the chain, so your browser queries a public block explorer directly — blockstream.info for Bitcoin, ethereum-rpc.publicnode.com for Ethereum. The address you enter travels to that third party, along with your IP address, because the request leaves your browser rather than our server. We never see it, log it, or store it — but they can, and they are governed by their policies, not ours. If that is not acceptable to you, don't use this feature; nothing else in the scanner depends on it.

Anonymous telemetry

We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics, and your scan history is stored only in your browser's localStorage (key qs_history) — never synced or sent to any server; the "Clear results" button on the dashboard removes it completely. The only thing we send to our own servers after a scan is anonymous telemetry: a graph of public facts — algorithms, protocol versions, cipher suites, and certificate issuers — with the key-establishment class (classical, hybrid, or post-quantum) on each key-establishment relation. Both folder and domain scans emit it; for a domain that class comes from the negotiated TLS key-exchange group, and the domain name never travels. The mapping to those facts happens in your browser, so no file, key, wallet address, code snippet, or scanned domain travels in this telemetry, and no personal data is sent or stored.
